1916 - 1929
During the first years as a professional firm, Lewandowski Engineers platted 58 residential subdivisions incorporating 3,000 individual lots.
1960s
When families spread out from the urban core to suburban areas in the 1960s, schools and churches followed. For the Catholic Diocese, Lewandowski Engineers was active in the growth and development of Christ the King, Regina Coeli, Ladyfield, and St. Pius parishes and elementary schools as well as the new St. John’s Jesuit High School.
1970s
Despite the energy crisis of the 1970s, it was full steam ahead for new retail in Toledo with lots of work for Lewandowski Engineers. In 1971, the Rouse company converted West Toledo’s Franklin Airfield and Ice Cream parlor (where our Grandma Mac was a chocolate dipper) into Toledo’s newest mall.

2010s
The highlight of this decade is the celebration of 100 years of business 1n 2016. We thanked our partners and clients with a celebration at the Chief Building on Erie Street. During this decade, we purchased several regional surveying firms and incorporated their records into our files.
2020s
The ongoing digital revolution requires a lot of land surveying work. We are busy with the 5G rollout siting the placement of antennas and providing corridor assessments. In the same type of work, we are providing services to support remote metering infrastructure. The Riverwalk on both sides of downtown Toledo is well underway with extensive surveying of existing metroparks and the new Glass City Metropark under development.
