Lewandowski Engineers remains an active proponent of low impact design that appends project goals with today’s resources for a sustainable tomorrow. The firm is proud of its track record of in-fill development and the design of walkable communities.

In 2012, the firm completed a hydrological study and sustainable design guideline with cost analysis of the three campuses of Lourdes University as part of Grey Wolves 30 year master plan. GreenWater solutions include the implementation of rain gardens, bio-swales, bio-cells, pervious pavement recommendations and the benefits of groundwater recharge systems.

Lewandowski Engineers has partnered with the Berardi + Partners, The Boulevard Group, The Collaborative Inc and LMHA on the Planned Unit Development, (PUD), for Collingwood Green, a 210 unit mixed use development. The 31 acre project located at the Western edge of Toledo’s Warehouse District includes single and multi-family units with an 88 unit Senior Housing and a commercial component. The walkable community joins Gunckel Park and the Washington Village neighborhood with the resources of Swann Creek.

Industrial & Commercial

Project site selection and due diligence for Commercial, Institutional and Industrial developments in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana has included zoning code compliance and traffic and rail corridor analysis. The firm identifies tapping and impact fees, architectural and landscape requirements and develops critical timelines and action items to keep a project on time and on schedule.

Lewandowski Engineers has provided site selection guidance at Chrysler USA’s Portage Indiana crossdock and Toledo Sequencing facilities, Sunoco’s Mid-American Refinery, BP Oil & Exploration, TrueNorth Energy and Marathon Oil in Ohio and Michigan.
